How to Make Your First Kiss Memorable?

I remember when a girl friend of mine asked me this question “why is a kiss more intimate than sex?” The question is typically something that sounds ridiculous to men, but makes perfect sense to women. A kiss is romantic and heart-warming… and fleeting. Sex can also be all these, of course, but for the most part, women look forward to kissing before they get to a point when they start thinking about having sex.

Here’s another statement about kissing that you probably will hear only from a girl… “it’s not just the lips that kiss”. The best kisses I ever shared with men involved softly spoken words whispered in between kisses, some playful nibbling, and a lot of romantic eye play. To a woman, a kiss is a beautiful experience that must never be rushed. With any luck, your first kiss with a girl might just be the ‘deal breaker’ that you’re looking for if you want to turn her into your girlfriend.

1. Start it Right

Any guy can lean over and land a wet one, but a good kiss (one that makes a girl’s heart flutter) should start right. If it’s your first, allow her a few minutes to get used to your touch. You can take her hand and hold it while you’re talking. Then, when she’s more relaxed, kiss her hand or press her palm on your cheek without letting go of her hand. Creating a “kissing mood” means getting her to focus on your lips so that the notion of kissing you (or that you might kiss her) occurs to her.

2. Slow But Sure

It’s not the kiss itself but the combination of the sensual events that happen during the kiss that makes a woman go nuts with excitement. Make her feel the softness of your lips by touching hers lightly before diving in. Start by quickly kissing one lip at a time before deepening the kiss. Tease her lips with your tongue only after she has started responding to your kiss. Taking it slow will help prevent teeth gnashing and biting accidents. Leisurely kissing a woman will also make her feel more into the kiss. At the very least, you can prevent your nose from bumping into hers.

Now that you know the basics of starting a great kiss, let’s talk about some rules…

Make sure you get rid of gum and un-melted candy or mints before you kiss (unless your objective is to pass her the mint with your lips!)
Never kiss on an empty stomach. Excitement does weird things to your body, and these include stomach rumbling during the kiss. Moreover, being too hungry will make your breath smell sulfuric regardless of how many minty pastilles you’ve consumed. Grab a sandwich before your date just in case you kiss before dinner
Never kiss with dry lips. Use lip gloss or lip balm regularly to keep your lips moist and kissable.
