But not in the way you think. Jessica Simpson needs intelligence in a male partner! Jess says that way she won’t be bored. So, there are two ways to read in to her comments. Tony Romo was an idiot or Jess needs a cover for her lack of intelligence.

Now, we all know from Jess’ show with ex Nick Lachey that Jess isn’t the brightest bulb in the box. I mean, she thought Chicken of the Sea was really chicken. So when she says she needs an intelligent man, is it to cover her dumb blonde moments? From the Huffington Post:

The singer — who split from Tony Romo in July — goes on, “I don’t want to get bored. I can bore out pretty easily, so I love intellectual men … people that will always keep me intrigued.”

“And, you know, I love artistic men — somebody that really understands their art,” adds Simpson, who dated musician John Mayer and was married to Nick Lachey.

Or after reading this, you can assume she meant Tony was not smart and she got bored with him. I like this version best. Tony was a jerk to her, so let’s do some Tony bashing. Or we could do some John Mayer bashing, since he broke up with her too. Bash whoever you like least.
